Overview

The Executive Vice-President – Production will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the production processes across our facilities. This senior leadership position will involve managing the production teams, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective operation of our manufacturing units, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, with a proven track record of leadership and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:
– Lead and manage the production teams across multiple facilities, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
– Develop and implement strategic production plans to meet current and future demand.
– Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the production departments.

Production Oversight:
– Oversee all aspects of production operations, including planning, scheduling, quality control, and maintenance.
– Ensure the efficient use of resources to meet production targets while minimizing costs and waste.
– Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to address any issues.

Process Improvement:
– Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
– Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and optimize production processes.
– Implement lean manufacturing principles and drive innovation in production techniques.

Budgeting & Reporting:
– Prepare and manage the production budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
– Provide regular reports to senior management on production performance, including analysis of variances and recommendations for improvement.
– Develop and oversee capital expenditure projects related to production.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:
– Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including health and safety standards.
– Maintain the highest standards of quality control, ensuring products meet or exceed customer expectations.
– Lead audits and inspections, and ensure any findings are addressed promptly.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
– Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
– Strong knowledge of production management, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
– Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
– Proven experience in budgeting, financial management, and reporting.
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
– Experience with ERP systems and production planning software is a plus.
