Overview

Safe Meat Inc., a commissary operating in Vancouver, is seeking a Commissary Manager to join the team.

 

Permanent, full-time (30-40 hours per week), $36.60 per hour. Bonus is available based on sales performance.

 

Shifts will be scheduled during regular hours of our operation between 8:00am and 5:30pm.

 

Duties:

·      Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the daily operations of the kitchen staff

·      Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures

·      Participate in marketing plans and implementation

·      Recruit staff and oversee staff training

·      Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance

·      Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed

·      Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies

·      Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or wholesale orders

·      Provide customer service as needed

 

Qualifications:

·      Secondary school completion is required

·      Minimum 5 years of previous food industry experience is required

·      English language ability is required

·      At least 3 years of previous supervisory experience is an asset

·      Previous commercial cooking experience is an asset

·      Japanese language ability is an asset
