Overview

South Island Primary Care Society is seeking one Medical Administrative Assistant to join their team in Victoria.

 

Full-time, $27.00 per hour; 40 hours per week, Mondays to Fridays.

Extended benefits past probationary period of 6 months.

 

Duties:

·      Enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review

·      Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records

·      Interview patients to obtain case histories

·      Complete insurance and other claim forms

·      Maintain filing system

·      Perform data entry

·      Schedule and confirm appointments

·      Open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material

 

Requirements:

·      Completion of college program in medical administration or related discipline is required;

·      Minimum 1 year of previous office experience in the medical or health sector is an asset;

·      Must be proficient OSCAR EMR, OCEAN Scheduling, SR Fax, and experience in urgent care and family practice.

·      English language ability is required.
