Job Duties:
-Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to heating, ventilation, plumbing, electrical systems, and store fixtures.
-Conduct inspections at all six store locations to proactively identify and resolve maintenance or safety issues.
-Perform general handyman tasks such as drywall patching, painting, and fixture installation.
-Support with seasonal tasks, including snow removal and salting of walkways.
-Move heavy equipment, supplies, and furniture as needed (up to 23 kg / 50 lbs).
-Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for major repairs or specialized maintenance work.
-Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report updates to the operations team.
-Work independently across multiple sites, using sound judgment to identify preventative maintenance solutions and ensure a safe and clean facility.
-Apply knowledge of workplace health and safety practices in a commercial or retail environment.
Skills Requirements (Education and Work Experience):
-Languages: English
-Education: Trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
-Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in building maintenance or a related role
-Equipment Experience: Power tools, snowblower
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
-Physically demanding work, including bending, crouching, kneeling
-Work under pressure, with repetitive tasks and handling of heavy loads
-Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
-Work environment includes all weather conditions and multiple locations
-Must work with minimal supervision and demonstrate flexibility, dependability, and sound judgment
Tools and Safety Equipment:
-Steel-toed safety boots must be provided by the employee
-All other tools and safety equipment required to perform the job will be provided by the employer in compliance with applicable health and safety regulations
-Note: Mileage reimbursement is not provided for travel between store locations
