Overview

Sushi Kojo is seeking a Head Cook for their Penticton location.

Permanent; Full-Time; (30-40 hours per week); $36.60 per hour. Bonus based on sales performance.

Standard 6-8 hour shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 9am and 9pm as required.

 

Duties:

·      Prepare Japanese food items (everything on the menu);

·      Coordinate and oversee kitchen staff and cooks in managing the preparation of meals;

·      Ensure all meals leaving the kitchen are consistent in presentation and quality;

·      Provide training to new kitchen staff on matters of hygiene, Japanese cuisine techniques, and other matters.

 

Qualifications:

·      Secondary school completion required;

·      Minimum 3-5 years of previous experience as a commercial cook.

·      English language ability is required.

·      Japanese language ability is an asset.
