Position: Roofer (permanent position) (NOC 73110) in Barrie and suburbs, ON

Language: English

Duties:

·        Install, repair, or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt-saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel;

·        Install, repair, or replace shingles, shakes, and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings;

·        Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools;

·        Supervise other workers;

·        Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications; Instruct apprentices;

·        Estimate costs and materials.

Hours: 40 hrs per week, C$ 36.00 per hour (March 2026)

Skills requirements:

= no formal educational requirements

= 2 years of relevant work experience in this position (Experience with Install, repairing, or replacing built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt-saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel; Installing, repairing, or replacing shingles, shakes, and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings; Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools)

= ability to work in different locations in GTA and Ontario

= ability to supervise, co-ordinate and schedule workers’ activities

= ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines, different weather conditions, at height, large workload, physically demanding, good hand-eye coordination is required
