The Painted Ship Social House Ltd. is seeking a Baker for our Vancouver location.

 

Permanent, full-time; 30-40 hours per week; $25.00 per hour.

 

Standard 6-8 hour shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 5am and 9pm as required. Working on weekend shifts is required.

 

Duties:

●      Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders;

●      Bake mixed dough and batters;

●      Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods;

●      Work with chocolate for special baking needs;

●      Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards;

●      Operate machinery;

●      Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.

 

Requirements:

●      Secondary school completion is required;

●      Completion of a three- or four-year apprenticeship program for bakers OR completion of a college or other program for bakers OR a minimum 2 years of experience working in a commercial bakery is required;

●      English language ability is required;

●      Must be willing to work on weekends and early mornings.
