Overview

Busy Vietnamese restaurant with 3 locations in Saskatoon is seeking hardworking, motivated staff to join our culinary team (cooks, prep, etc). The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

About THIEN VIETNAM RESTAURANT

As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires a strong understanding of kitchen operations and food handling practices. Experience with Vietnamese & other east-Asian cuisine is an asset.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the restaurant.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet customer demands.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service hours.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food handling practices.
Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process, making adjustments as necessary.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred; willingness to learn is essential.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment is beneficial.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry is an asset.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment are essential for success in this role.
A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers is highly valued.
