Overview

Toppings Farm is seeking a Livestock Labourer for their farm in Richmond, BC.

 

Permanent, full-time; $20.18; 40 hours per week. 6- to 8-hour shifts will be scheduled daily between 7AM and 10:00PM.  Overtime may be required during high seasons.

 

Duties:

·      Feed and tend to chicken, ducks, geese, pigs, and sheep

·      Sort and handle animals

·      Maintain or assist in the maintenance of facilities and farm infrastructure including cleaning stables, pens, and barnyards

·      Assist with breeding activities

·      Monitor health of animals and provide care, as needed

·      Prepare animals for transportation, as needed

·      May operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment

·      May be required to perform other general farm duties as needed, such as vegetable harvesting.

 

Requirements:

·      Previous work experience with livestock is preferred;

·      Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs (23 kg);

·      Must be willing to work prolonged periods in all types of weather conditions;

·      English language ability is required.
