The Role: Reporting to the Head Cook, the Relief Cook is responsible for travelling to various stores locally and providing relief support to Kitchen Production. He/she will assist the Head Cook to carry out food preparation at the assigned store or Central Kitchen, checking the quality/quantities of the receiving food products, carrying and storing the products received, as well as ensuring cleanliness of kitchen utensils, including tools, containers, clothes, towels, working and food storage areas.

Language

• English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience:

• 2 years or more of experience as a cook
• Cooking experience in Chinese cuisine

• Support kitchen production in various stores locally as required
• Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Ensure recipes, ingredient specifications, quantity, quality, cooking time as stated in the SOPs are being executed
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Order supplies and equipment
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Responsible for the storage of food, including incoming stock
