Umbrella Property Services provides quality window cleaning, gutter cleaning and pressure washing for Metro Vancouver.

We are seeking an experienced Rope Access Technician (RAT) Supervisor to join the team.

This is a permanent, full-time position; 40 hours per week; $37.00 per hour. Plus $850 in health benefits spending after the probationary period.

Duties:

– Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of rope access technicians and crew members.

– Perform rope access work in hard-to-reach areas without the use of scaffolding or work platforms.

– Descend, ascend, and traverse ropes for access and work while suspended by a harness.

– Perform and oversee various rope maneuvers safely and efficiently.

– Assign and inspect work involving window cleaning, pressure washing, gutter cleaning, waterproofing, painting touch-ups, inspections, and other services performed at height or high angle.

– Conduct on-site job assessments and ensure work is completed according to company standards and client specifications.

– Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior technicians.

– Monitor compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations, fall protection requirements, and established safety protocols.

– Ensure proper inspection, maintenance, and safe use of rope access systems and equipment.

– Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical or safety issues encountered at worksites.

– Maintain work records, safety documentation, and service reports.

– Coordinate materials, equipment, and crew assignments to ensure efficient project completion.

– Communicate with clients and management regarding job progress and site conditions.

Requirements:

– Completion of secondary school is required.

– Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Rope Access Technician.

– Demonstrated supervisory or team lead experience.

– SPRAT or IRATA certification (Level 2 or higher preferred).

– Valid BC driver’s license.

– First Aid and Fall Protection certifications are assets.

– Comfortable working at heights and on suspended stages.

– Strong understanding of safety regulations and rope access procedures.

– English language ability is required.
