Overview

Vanguard Mechanical Ltd is located in Maple Ridge and currently looking for a Plumber to join its team as soon as possible.

Responsible for the following duties:

Install, maintain, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures associated with water distribution and waste water disposal in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.

Install and repair heating systems such as hot water tanks, heating pipes, and pumps.

Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size

Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings

Read and interpret blueprints and building specifications to install plumbing systems.

Design and install systems for both potable water and waste disposal.

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing plumbing systems to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulations.

Diagnose and fix issues such as clogged drains, leaks, and broken pipes.

Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges

Ensure all plumbing systems meet the National Plumbing Code and provincial regulations.

Advise clients on maintenance schedules, potential upgrades, and energy-saving plumbing solutions.

Train and supervise apprentices in the plumbing trade.

Location of work: All over Lower Mainland

Requirement: Secondary school education required with over 5 years of experience/ or completion of 4 to 5 years apprenticeship program

Wage offered: $34.62 per hour for 40 hours per week
