Education
Post secondary education or safety designation such as NSCO required
Qualifications and Experience
· Minimum 3 years of experience required working within the construction safety industry, specifically within the roofing and exterior building industries
· Minimum 1 year of experience working within each of the following: residential, commercial and industrial sectors
· Auditor training accreditation within at least one of the provincial certifying partners, Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA), Alberta Association for Safety Partnerships (AASP) and/or Energy Safety Canada (ESC)
· Prior experience in auditing COR & SECOR programs through the following certifying partners: Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA), Alberta Association for Safety Partnerships (AASP) and Energy Safety Canada (ESC)
· Minimum 2 years experience in creating municipal site safety plans
Responsibilities
· Creation and revision of client safety manuals and program documents
· Assisting clients with the implementation and enforcement of OHS policies and procedures
· Paperwork upkeep, client SECOR and COR program maintenance
· Summary report writing and statistical report preparation
· Holding worker safety meetings, training classes and orientations as needed
· Conducting site facility inspections to ensure compliance with safety requirements
· Completing workplace incident investigations where needed
· Audit assistance and completion
· Creation of needed site safety plans and emergency response plans
· Safety training class administration and general office administration
