Overview
Job Duties
– Prepare and cook food items.
– Ensure that all dishes and recipes are made to standard.
– Help oversee kitchen operations and food service areas.
– Assist in the supervision and training of kitchen support staff.
– Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
– Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
– Monitor, maintain and replenish supplies as needed.
– May assist in menu planning.
Job Requirements
– Minimum 2 years of recent work experience as a short-order cook.
– Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure.
– Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
– Willingness to learn and take direction from others.
– Ability to work efficiently with a close attention to detail.
– Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift and carry heavy products, reach and stretch.
– Scheduling flexibility, including the ability to work day, evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts.
– English language ability.
– Completion of secondary school.
Job Details
– $21.20 per hour.
– Full-time (30 to 40 hours per week) position.
