Job Responsibilities:

– Provide personal care and companionship to an elderly family member
– Assist with daily activities including mobility support, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
– Plan and prepare meals, including special diets, and assist with feeding if needed
– Perform routine health-related duties such as changing non-sterile dressings, assisting with medication, and collecting specimens under the supervision of a nurse or home care agency
– Carry out light housekeeping tasks including laundry, dishwashing, and bed-making

Qualifications:

– Completion of secondary school is required
– Related work experience is an asset
– Valid First Aid certification is required
– Fluency in Mandarin is an asset
– Completion of home support or elderly care training programs is an asset

Security and Safety Requirements:

– Medical examination
– References required

Transportation and Travel:

– Must be willing to travel
– Accessible by public transportation
– Employer will cover transportation expenses
