Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced caregiver to provide full-time support to an elderly gentleman in a private home. The ideal candidate will be patient, attentive, and capable of working independently while ensuring a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment.
Main Duties
· Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting as needed
· Assist with mobility support, including walking and transferring safely
· Prepare and serve nutritious meals in accordance with dietary needs
· Administer and monitor medications as directed
· Provide companionship and emotional support
· Assist with daily routines and ensure overall well-being and safety
· Accompany to medical appointments or outings when required
· Perform light housekeeping duties directly related to care (laundry, maintaining cleanliness of living areas, meal clean-up)
Requirements
· Minimum 6 months of caregiving experience in a private home or similar setting
· Ability to work independently and responsibly
· Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of seniors
· Ability to communicate effectively in English
· Criminal record check (or willingness to obtain one)
· References required
Additional Information
· This is a long-term, full-time position.
Preference for this position will be given to Canadians, permanent residents, new immigrants, indigenous peoples, vulnerable youth, people with disabilities with appropriate experience, and the ability to speak and read English.
