Job Title: Carpenter (NOC 72310)

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Day, Weekend

Anticipated Start Date (at the latest in 3 months): As soon as possible

Work Address: 5720-198 St, Langley, BC, Canada, V3A 7C7

Wage rate: $31.00 per hour (40 hours per week). Overtime will be paid after 40 hours

Education: High School an asset

Experience: 1-2 Years of relevant experience

Languages: Basic knowledge of English.

Job Duties:

· Prepares layout using ruler, framing square & caliper.

· Read and understand blueprints, drawings and sketches.

· Select specified type of lumbers or other materials.

· Supervise apprentices and other construction workers

· Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitute, and other materials.

· Maintain, repair and renovate wooden structures.

· Marks cutting and assembling lines on material using pencil, chalk and marking gauge.

· Shape material to prescribed measurements using saws, chisels and planes.

· Matches materials to requested design specifications

Working Conditions: Candidate should be able to lift weight (50lbs). Should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, rain, or shine.
