Overview
Western Community College is located in Surrey BC and is looking to hire 1 ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT to join their team as soon as possible.
Duties:
· Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and other material and coordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments and organizations.
· Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings.
· Assisting in maintaining budget and audit reports
· Prepare invoices, presentations, brochures, and related material from machine dictation and handwritten copy.
· Help students in applying for student loans.
· Handle all financial transactions Inflow and outflow of money.
· Order office supplies and maintain inventory.
· Answer telephone and electronic inquiries and reply to telephone calls and messages.
· Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems.
· May compile data, statistics, and other information to support regular activities of the organization.
· Other duties as assigned by the management.
Requirements:
Education:
-Completion of secondary school education is required
-Completion one- or two-year college program for administrative assistants or secretaries
or
-1 year of related experience
Experience: 1 year experience
Language: English
Salary: $25.00 per hour for 40 hours/week
