Overview
What you’ll do
Installing automated technology systems and set up equipment. Installing surround sound for home theatre rooms, welcoming lighting, home security. Installation of controlling devices and centralized hubs. Installation of systems for every room that can be seamlessly interconnected. Custom tailored lighting and shade control installation. Dim lights, lower window shades, automated shades lower and morning lights installation. installation of our integrated lighting solutions including our motorized shades – adding beauty.
Your Responsibilities:
§ lead the design and construction of rack systems, ensuring optimal layout and functionality.
§ Pull wires through conduits, plan and prepare wire runs.
§ Terminate wires by crimping and soldering.
§ Assist in completing required installations in a timely manner.
§ Assist in staging the equipment prior to shipping to client site.
§ Install and set up residential and commercial low voltage, audio visual and network systems.
§ Handle and install AV equipment such as TV’s, speakers, subwoofers, touch panels, etc.
§ Assist with diagnosing, testing, configuration, and service to residential and commercial systems.
§ Assist with structural installation of displays, screens, and projectors.
§ Maintain accurate time and material information on each job.
§ Complete work orders daily, including photo documentation of site work.
§ Maintain open communication with lead installation technician, project lead on status of projects.
§ Clean and perform preparation of worksite.
§ Work in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion ie) protect client’s furniture. Utilize drop sheets, installation blankets as needed.
§ Strive for job completion.
§ Dispose of packaging and leftovers from site.
§ Occasionally perform other related duties, as assigned.
§ Read and interpret plans, instructions, blueprints, structural drawings, and rough sketches to determine work activities.
§ Occasional travel outside the GTA and evening/weekend work to complete installations.
§ Proactively seek continuous professional development ie) CEDIA, YouTube tutorials.
Requirements:
§ English communication
§ High school diploma or university degree preferred
§ 1-2 years of experience in related fields
§ A natural ability to work with your hands.
§ Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills.
§ Strong customer service orientation.
§ Self-motivation and keen attention to detail.
§ Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
§ Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
§ Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
§ Demonstrate integrity on client sites and uphold quality standards set by Your Home AV.
§ Be proactive in ensuring job knowledge is current.
§ Valid Ontario Driver’s license.
