Overview

Basant Motors, located in Surrey, BC is looking for 1 Automotive Service Technician to join our team as soon as possible.

Duties:

Review work orders and discuss required repairs with supervisors or service advisors.
Inspect motor vehicles in operation, perform road tests, and use computerized diagnostic tools and other testing equipment to diagnose and isolate mechanical and electrical faults.
Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including electrical faults, faulty sensors, and suspension noises by reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
Perform repairs and replacements of automotive systems and components, including engines, transmissions, fuel systems, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drivetrain, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical/electronic systems using hand tools and specialized diagnostic and repair equipment.
Replace complete engines and transmissions when necessary, ensuring proper installation and testing.
Test and adjust systems and components to ensure they meet manufacturer’s performance standards and safety specifications.
Carry out scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, and general tune-ups.
Communicate with customers to explain work performed, general vehicle condition, and provide advice on future maintenance or repair needs.
Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
Adhere to workplace safety procedures and standards while ensuring the safe operation of all equipment.
Requirements:

Completion of secondary school is required
Completion of 3-4 year of apprenticeship program
OR

2 years of work experience in the field

Langauge: English

Salary: $36.60/hr for 40 hrs/week
