Breeze Beauty International Ltd. (dba Mentor Hair Salon) is seeking a Master Hairstylist to join our team in Richmond.

Permanent, Full-time, $37.00 per hour plus tips OR 45% commission based on individual monthly sales, whichever is higher. 30-40 hours per week, with shifts scheduled between 10:00AM to 9:00PM.

Duties:

· Develop customized colour correction strategies for clients with previous chemical damage, uneven pigmentation, or complex hair histories;

· Perform advanced texture services, including digital perming, keratin treatments, thermal straightening, and restorative conditioning programs;

· Assess hair and scalp conditions and recommend appropriate treatment plans to maintain hair integrity and long-term scalp health;

· Maintain detailed client service records, including colour formulas, treatment history, and future service recommendations;

· Resolve complex client concerns and provide corrective solutions to ensure client satisfaction and retention;

· Lead consultations for high-value transformation services and special event styling;

· Stay current with emerging industry trends, advanced styling techniques, and product innovations through ongoing professional development;

· Participate in salon service planning, pricing discussions, and development of premium service offerings;

· Support salon quality control by ensuring services meet established technical and customer service standards;

· Assist with inventory monitoring and selection of professional-grade colouring, treatment, and styling products;

· Coordinate workflow during high-volume periods to ensure efficient client service and optimal appointment management;

· Provide technical guidance and hands-on coaching to junior stylists regarding cutting precision, colour theory, chemical processing, and client consultations;

· Build and maintain a returning client base through advanced consultation, personalized services, and professional relationship management;

· Perform bridal, editorial, fashion, or special occasion hairstyling services where required;

· Ensure compliance with salon hygiene, sanitation, and occupational health and safety standards;

· Contribute to salon marketing initiatives through portfolio development, social media content participation, and promotion of salon services.

Requirements:

· Must have completed an apprenticeship or college program in hairstyling plus on-the-job training OR have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience if no formal hairstyling training or education;

· English language ability is required;

· Chinese language ability is an asset.
