Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nanny to provide exceptional care for children in a safe and engaging environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with older children and possess the skills necessary to support their development through activities/outings, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. This role requires a compassionate individual who can create a positive atmosphere for children while ensuring their safety and well-being.

This position is full-time, permanent, 40 hours per week; $28.00 per hour.

Responsibilities:
– Provide supervision and spend time with children in activities they enjoy, including schoolwork, sports, hobbies, and outings.
– Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children, accommodating any dietary restrictions or preferences.
– Assist with homework and educational tasks to promote learning and development.
– Maintain a clean and organized environment by tidying up after activities, cleaning, and managing laundry as needed.
– Provide emotional support and guidance to children, fostering a nurturing relationship.
– Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s daily activities, behaviour, and any concerns that may arise.
– Ensure the children’s safety at all times by following safety guidelines during transportation, outings, and activities.

Qualifications:

​- Secondary school completion required.
– Proven experience working with children in a babysitting or caregiving capacity is preferred.
– Strong cooking skills with the ability to prepare healthy meals for children.
– Excellent cleaning skills to maintain a tidy living space for the children.
– Compassionate demeanour with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with both children and parents.
– Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively while prioritizing children’s safety.
– First Aid certification or CPR training are assets.
– English language ability is required.
