Overview
Job title: In-home caregiver.
Terms of employment: This job is for a full-time position (between 30 and 40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job start is April 1, 2026.
Language requirement: French or English.
Salary: Wage offered is between $17 and $19 per hour.
Location: GrKi… lives in Mont-Royal, Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, school and parks are nearby. The city bus is easily accessible and is close by. The major intersection is Fleet ave and Cavnedish boul.
Duties may include:
1- This job is to help with the care of two children, a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old newborn child. Children’s mother suffers from a chronic health condition, and family requires help at home. Duties do not include care for the mother herself
2- Supervision of children when parents are not at home, and take the child to and from appointments
3- Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise
4- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
5- Bathe, and dress the children until they are old enough to do these tasks unassisted
6- Lay the youngest child down for nap time
7- General housework that will include doing, laundry and some ironing.
8- Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment
Qualifications:
1- Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education
2- Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver
3- Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision
