Overview
Job title- In-home caregiver.
Terms of employment- This job is for a full-time position (between 30 and 40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job start date is August 1, 2026.
Language requirement: French or English.
Salary- Wage offered is between $17 and $19 per hour.
Location- DeJa… lives in the city of Montreal, Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, school and parks are nearby. Public transportation options—metro stations and city buses—are easily accessible and is close by. The major intersection is Rue St-Jacques and Atwater Ave.
Duties may include:
1- This job is to help with the care of a 5 year old and a 3 year old
2- Supervision of the child when parents are not at home
3- Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise
4- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
5- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
6- Plan, prepare and serve meals for children. Kitchen clean-up is also required
7- General housework that will include doing laundry and some ironing
8- Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment
Qualifications:
1- Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education
2- Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver
3- Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision
