Overview
Job title: In-home caregiver.
Terms of employment: This job is for a full-time position (between 30 and 40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job starts as soon as possible
Language requirement: French or English.
Salary: Wage offered is between $17 and $19 per hour.
Location: DeRa… lives in westmount, Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, school and parks are nearby. The city bus is easily accessible and is close by. The major intersection is Sherbrooke St. O, and Decarie blvd.
Duties may include:
1- This job is to help with the care of young children.
2- Supervision of children when parents are not at home, and take the child to and from appointments
3- Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise
4- Prepare and cook nutritious snacks and meals for the children, and help to feed them until they are able to feed themselves
5- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
6- Bathe children and change diapers as needed
7- General housework that will include doing, laundry and some ironing.
8- Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment
Qualifications:
1- Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education
2- Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver
3- Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision
