We are looking for a home caregiver to take care of our children.

 

Work Location: 935 Normandy Lane, Sherwood Park, AB T8A 5X7

Wage and Hours: $20/Hour and 30 hours/week

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Care Recipient: 2 Children (7 and 11 years old)

 

[Main Duties]

– Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents

– Plan and coordinate age-appropriate recreational activities, including as games and outings for children

– Provide daily supervision and care for children

– Prepare and serve nutritious meals

– Assist children with daily routines such as rest periods

– Ensure a safe, clean and healthy home environment

– Take children to and from school and to appointments

– Guide children in personal hygiene, manners, and social development

 

[Additional]

– Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

– Shop for groceries and essential household supplies

– Accompany the family on trips if needed and support with child supervision and household needs during travel

– Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens

 

[Job requirements]

– Language: English

– Education/Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required AND Minimum 1 year of related experience as a child care/caregiver is required.

– Security and Safety: Medical exam, Criminal record check, Reference required

– Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Work in employer’s home, Relocation costs covered by employer, Staff accommodation available if needed

– Personal Suitability: Organized, Reliability, Team player, Excellent written communication

– Target Audience: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children
