Job Title: Nanny
Location: North Vancouver, BC Wages: $38.00 to $45.00 hourly (To be negotiated) Terms of Employment: Full-time Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week with flexible hours Start Date: As soon as possible
Job Overview We are a private household in North Vancouver seeking a dedicated and reliable Nanny to care for children in our home. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
Qualifications
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of professional childcare experience
Language: English proficiency is required
Asset Language: Spanish is considered an asset
Specialization: Experience with special needs children, specifically autistic children, is an asset
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and care for children, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
Change diapers and follow parents’ lead with toilet training
Discipline children according to methods requested by parents
Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
Organize and participate in activities such as games and outings
Take children to and from school and to various appointments
Tend to the emotional well-being of children and keep records of daily activities and health information
Prepare children for rest periods
Personal Suitability We are looking for a team player who demonstrates initiative, judgment, and excellent oral communication. You should be organized, reliable, patient, and honest.
Additional Information
Work Setting: Work must be completed on-site at the employer’s home (non-smoking environment)
Transportation: Public transportation is available; free parking is provided on-site
Travel: Must be willing to travel; however, travel expenses are not paid by the employer
