Overview

One Full time, permanent in-home Personal Support Worker required starting February 3, 2025, for care of a 96-year-old female with early onset Alzheimer’s,

in Edmonton, Alberta (Terwillegar area) $23.00/hour, 44 – 60 hours per week, days, nights & weekends. OT will be paid at straight time except on stat holidays. 4% vacation pay.

Cost of transportation to Edmonton for any candidates not already in the city, will be covered by the employer.

Duties include care of elder including

ensuring her safety, offering companionship, serving nutritious snacks and meals, ambulation ensuring she takes her medication, light housekeeping.

Applicant must speak English. Completion of high school is required PLUS at least two year’s of experience with Alzheimer’s elder care or medical experience. Completion of a related course would be considered in lieu of experience.

Preference will be given to a candidate with a driver’s license.

Caregiver will work in employer’s home with accommodations provided at no charge as a live in basis position.
