Job Title: Home Child Care Provider (NOC: 44110

Employer: Singal Private Household

Location: Victoria, BC

Salary: $20.13/hr for 40 hrs per week

Vacancy: 1 vacancy

Terms of employment: Term or contract/ full time

Start Date: as soon as possible

 

Job Requirements:

Languages

·        English

Education

·        Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent related experience

·        Caregiver certificate is an asset

Experience

·        At least 1- 2 years of work experience taking care of children or any related work experience.

Duties:

·        Take care and supervise the children when parents are not around.

·        Bathe, dress and feed the children

·        Prepare and serve nutritious meals for the children

·        Oversee children’s activities such as meals and rest periods

·        Do housekeeping

·        Accompany children to and from school and take children to school activities

·        Tend to emotional well being of children when parents are not around

·        Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home

·        Provide companionship to the children

·        Keep records of daily activities and health information

 

Work Conditions

·        Repetitive tasks, Work under pressure, Physically demanding, Overtime maybe required

 

Physical Capabilities:

·        Must be physically and emotionally fit

·        Must have valid driver’s license

·        Must be 21 years or older

 

Work Location Information

·        Work in employer’s/client’s home

·        We need someone with excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
