Job Description
A family in West Vancouver, BC is seeking a reliable, responsible, and caring Home Child Care Provider to provide full-time care and supervision for two children, aged 13 and 10. The successful candidate will assist with the children’s daily routines, school-related activities, meals, and general well-being while helping maintain a safe and organized home environment.
Main Duties
Supervise and care for two children, aged 13 and 10.
Ensure the children’s safety and well-being at all times.
Assist with morning, after-school, and evening routines as required.
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
Assist with school preparation and homework routines.
Accompany the children to and from school, appointments, recreational activities, and other activities as required.
Organize and participate in age-appropriate activities.
Maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment in the home.
Perform light housekeeping duties related to the children and household.
Keep the children’s bedrooms, study areas, and common areas tidy and organized.
Perform children’s laundry and assist with general household laundry as required.
Assist with meal preparation and basic household organization.
Follow the parents’ instructions regarding the children’s routines, activities, and care.
Requirements
Secondary school education or equivalent.
Previous experience caring for children is an asset.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Responsible, dependable, patient, organized, and trustworthy.
Ability to work independently and follow family routines.
References may be requested.
Criminal record check may be required.
