Job Title: Apprentice Painter

 

Vacancy: 6 positions

 

Job Type: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)

 

Salary: $27.00 /hour

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
-Read work instructions and assist in determining the type and amount of materials required.

-Prepare and clean surfaces by scraping, sanding, pressure washing, or steam cleaning as required.

-Remove old wallpaper and loose or peeling paint.

-Repair cracks, holes, and damaged areas on walls and other surfaces under guidance.

-Apply paint and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment under supervision.

-Assist in applying finishes such as stains, varnish, enamel, lacquer, or fire-resistant coatings.

-Measure, cut, and install wallpaper or fabric wall coverings as directed.

-Follow safety procedures and maintain clean and organized work areas.

 

Requirements:

Completion of secondary school is required;

Experience is an asset; however on-the-job training will be provided.

 

Personal Suitability:

Follow instructions, attention to detail, reliable, and a team player.

Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and painting equipment.

Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, standing, bending, and working at heights.
