Number of Positions needed: 1

Wages: $23 per hour, 35 hours per week

Benefits: 10 days paid vacation and 5 days paid sick leave per year

 

We’re hiring a full-time Live-in Caregiver to look after a 70 years old male who has just undergone lung surgery, and needs care and support at home.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Observe and report symptoms such as persistent coughing, shortness of breath, Chest pain, or fever etc.
Remind and help with prescribed medications, and any oxygen therapy
Assist with personal care, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
Prepare easy-to-digest meals that help healing and in line with doctor’s advice
Offer companionship and emotional support
Assist with moving around, walking, and physical therapy activities
Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe living environment.
Accompany senior to follow-up medical appointments

·         Able to handle emergencies calmly

 

 

Work Experience

 

·         Experience an asset, will provide training

 

 

 

Work Setting:

 

·         Private home; live-in arrangement required

 

 

Education:

·         Secondary school education is required
