Job Summary
York Electronics Ltd. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronic Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and calibrate automotive and industrial electronic systems such as instrument clusters, radios, and display boards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical troubleshooting ability, experience using diagnostic and testing equipment, and the initiative to identify and implement efficient repair solutions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and test electronic instrument clusters, radios, and display boards at the component level to restore full functionality.
Perform bench testing, calibration, and validation using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators.
Apply reverse-engineering and circuit-tracing techniques to troubleshoot without service manuals, ensuring long-term reliability of repairs.
Collaborate with the production and logistics teams to coordinate repairs, manage parts supply, and ensure timely project completion.
Identify, source, and track electronic parts and components for ongoing and custom repair projects.
Maintain accurate service records, calibration logs, and repair documentation.
Develop and implement efficient repair workflows to improve turnaround time and reduce rework.
Ensure adherence to workplace safety and quality standards.
Employment Requirements
Completion of a bachelor’s degree in electronics technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in electronic testing and repair, preferably at the component or circuit-board level.
Strong knowledge of diagnostic instruments (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers).
Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and technical diagrams.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
