Overview
Job title: In-home caregiver.
Terms of employment: This job is for a full-time position, between 30 and 40 hours per week. Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job start is March 1, 2026.
Language requirement: French or English.
Salary: Wage offered is between $17 and $19 per hour.
Location- LDC… lives in the city of Laval, in Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, parks are nearby. The city bus is easily accessible and is close by (bus # 144). The major intersection is Samson boulevard + autoroute chomedy #13.
Duties may include:
1- This job is to help with the care of two children – aged 11 years old and 10 years old. One of the children suffers from a chronic health condition and requires additional care and attention
2- Supervision of children when parents are not at home,
3- Organize outings to provide amusement and exercise,
4- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents,
5- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development,
6- Plan, prepare and serve meals for children. Kitchen clean-up is also required,
7- General housework that will include doing laundry and some ironing.
8- Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment
Qualifications:
1- Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education
2- Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver
3- Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision
