Overview
Zachary Weeks is seeking a compassionate, dependable home support worker to provide personal care, companionship and household assistance in a private Edmonton residence. This permanent, full-time, live-out position is 44 hours per week at $20.00 per hour. The successful applicant will support daily living activities while respecting the client’s dignity, privacy, safety and independence.

Work location: On site in the employer’s private residence. There is no option to work remotely and no live-in accommodation requirement.

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Experience is an asset
Duties:
• Care for pets
• Administer bedside and personal care
• Administer medications
• Assist with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Assist with regular exercise, such as walking
• Feed or assist with feeding
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Provide companionship
• Provide personal care
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Cook
Security and safety: Criminal record check and references required.
Physical requirements: Bending, crouching and kneeling; a combination of sitting, standing and walking; physically demanding work.
Personal suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organization, reliability, patience and honesty.
